:: XSL Professional Services

Xmarc Professional Services complement the FIRE development technologies. With significant experience in the analysis of requirement, design of spatial systems and delivery of complete systems—our teams are independent, qualified and deliver business benefit.

Independence may sound a cliche but bear in mind that FIRE is an integration technology that can bring together multiple business, back-office and technical applications (GIS, CAD, Command/Control, Dispatch, Job Management etc.). We have to be independent to bring all of your hard work and legacy information together.

Cost benefit analyses have proven that FIRE saves time, money and reduces the need to purchase "out of the box" application licenses that may be under-utilised

The following summarises the generic skills available through the Xmarc/PlanGraphics team.

Please use the contacts form if you require further details on how we can help you.

:: Data Warehousing

In many organisations, the need to migrate from disparate line-of-business applications to corporate ERP (Exec. Resource/Planning) systems is accepted. However, linking the legacy data and maintaining the connection with bespoke applications that cannot become part of an ERP.

Apart from STEPs (the Resilience/Emergency planning customisation of data warehousing), Xmarc FIRE can be implemented to provide geo-data integration portals for local/central government and private enterprise.

:: Dispatch

Whether its for facilities management, transportation, emergency response or roadside support—the delivery of timely information to the dispatch teams is pre-requisite to achieve service level efficiency.

Whatever the application, spatial data in the form of routing, base maps, service/utility structure is a vital component of the delivered information.

FIRE links together corporate customer data, service team locations, resource availability into the desired format for delivery via Internet or other networked environments.

:: Web delivery of spatial data

Many organisations are now using the Internet for distributing and working with corporate information—however the use of enterprise database forms interfaces sometimes lack the spatial enquiry and display tools that are required to provide composite information for many applications.

The FIRE technology suite can be used to create client or server side applications to match the bandwidth restrictions of the environment.

With database connection tools, image rendering functionality and forms interfacing compliance designing and delivering effective, efficient applications via the Internet is part and parcel of using FIRE.

:: Land administration

Both Xmarc and Plangraphics have extensive experience in designing, delivering and integrating with existing land administration systems.

The need to deliver composite, variable format information is pre-requisite when working with land parcel focused business applications.

:: e-Government & resilience planning

With national directives including access to core service and public information via the Internet, e-Government delivery is a key professional service area for Xmarc/PlanGraphics.

Service packages include:

  • spatial data audits (analysis of what's available, to whom, and how it can be better utilised, risk impact analysis of failure to deliver)
  • core service information delivery (design, development and implementation of planning information, public services, rates/tax collection via spatially enabled Internet applications)
  • resilience & emergency planning (design and delivery of integrated access to authority held resilience information)
